"It doesn't matter if you feel it, the audience has to feel it. " - Adam Marple
Actioning is a simple way of making tangible choices in text work. It gives the actor something to hold on to, while exploring the physical, emotional, and mental demands needed to perform the scene. It makes choices repeatable, freeing the actor from relying solely on feeling or intuition recall what is happening in that moment, moment to moment.
Actioning is a way of building a framework. Within this framework, one finds play, choice, and ultimately fresh life in each new moment.
